OBJECTIVE

Harper's Bazaar wanted to celebrate diversity, inclusivity and female “collaboration” in the art industry by creating the special supplement Bazaar Art.

SOLUTION

Nieal design directed the ninth annual issue of Bazaar Art with the editorial team and guest-editor Turner Prize-winning British Black artist Lubaina Himid to commemorate female diversity and inclusivity. We explored everything from Tacita Dean’s commission for the Royal Ballet and Chanel’s patronage of the National Portrait Gallery, to Marina Abramovic partnership with Willem Dafoe and profiled the up-and-coming British Black artist, Rachel Jones (featured on the cover).

OUTCOME

With its own unique wisdom and vision Bazaar Art received a great response from industry leaders, readers, media and sponsors.
